A few months back, Lucy and myself decided to travel down to Crom in Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. We stayed for a couple nights in their dog friendly glamping pods. From us, Crom is roughly about a 2 hour drive! Which is situated and about 2,000 acres which is owned and managed by the National Trust. Why don’t you come and join us and see what we got up to.
This also gave us a real opportunity to try out the DJI Osmo Mobile and the DJI Mavic Pro Drone. Having had both gadgets for a while we struggled to properly road toast these. Having a few days of peace we set out with the Osmo. First impressions were excellent! Takes a bit to get used to but the difference it makes to your video and the stabilisation is crazy.
The DJI Mavic as many know we have had for a while. All was going good until one night over water and at about 400ft I lost visual contact on my device screen. Thankfully I still had control over the drone and was able to bring it back and safely land it. The issue? I honestly do not know, could have been anything. Thankfully it’s all in one piece!
If you ever visit Northern Ireland and want somewhere peaceful, of the beaten track to explore. Can we both recommend Crom! When we stayed we had the place to ourselves at night and it was just unreal. Having 2,000 acres to explore late into the evenings when it’s just us, a dog and a camera makes it even more special.
